I previously wrote about my redecorating project. Aside for the quilt wall hanging, things are coming along very nicely. Today, I put up the last hooks I needed. Some of the changes have resulted in this:
I’m particularly happy with the black bird wall.
The yellow Fiestware pieces are cracked and won’t hold liquids; they will be used for plants. I intend on putting an ivy type of plant in the pitcher and a cacti or a small topiary in the teapot. I would like to replace the calendar and whiteboard with a frame piece of metal sheeting to use as a magnet board, on which I can put some photos or important pieces of paper that keep getting lost in a pile on my dining room table. Lastly, the chair usually sits on my balcony and I would love to replace it with a low padded bench − wide enough and comfortable enough to use as a window seat − with storage underneath for extra blankets or whatnot. I would also like to put a lamp near by with this lamp shade.
But, I’m going to hold off purchasing anything more for the redo. It’s enough right now to simply enjoy the space.
